Section: Journals
The Centre of African Studies and its associates publish widely and in a variety of formats. The three leading African Studies journals, African Affairs, the Journal of Southern African Studies and the Journal of Modern African Studies are edited by CAS staff/associates. In addition, CAS has published several occasional papers per annum for over 30 years and we are digitising this valuable resource in order to make these papers available to all for free.
The Centre of African Studies also hosts an innovative online publication, Critical African Studies, which seeks to provide a forum for up-to-date, critical material that explores and pushes the boundaries of African Studies scholarship. The issues are available on the Critical African Studies website.
