CAS Scholarship Dinner - 27th May 2009

This year's CAS scholarship dinner promises to be a lively informal event this year!   As you may know this is one of the most imoprtant fundraising activities to raise money for the four MSc scholarships for African Commonwealth students that we will support for 2009-10.

The dinner will be held in Teviot dining Hall, Bristo Square on Wednesday, 27th May at 7.30pm.   In addition, after the dinner we will have live music from La Boum!, an excellent band led by one of our ex-PhD students, Tom Salter, which combines African, World and Celtic music.

There will be a 3-course dinner, a raffle, other fundraising activities, a cash bar and a brilliant evening of live music.  If you would like to attend the dinner and music, the ticket costs £25.  If you would just like to see the band, the ticket costs £10.  If you would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Seona in room 4.03, CMB. Tickets CANNOT be purchased at the door.  Dinner will be at 7.30pm and the music will start at 9.30pm.  Dress is 'traditional' or smart.  Please let Seona know if you require a vegetarian meal.

We do hope you're able to come, and maybe bring friends and certainly spread the word!

This will be a great event and your participation will make an important contribution to ensuring that we can offer 4 outstanding African scholars the opportunity to study at Edinburgh in 2009-10.
