PISCES holds Policy Principles event in association with Imperial

The PISCES consortium will host a 2-day event in Oxford on 22-23 May 2012, attended by international representatives from the University of Dar es Salaam, ACTS, PAC UK and Sri Lanka, and the University of Edinburgh, as well as 40 UK academics, researchers, civil society and policymakers. The aim of the event is to present the policy experiences learnt by PISCES over the first phase of the project, and to hear of the research and experiences of other bioenergy projects led by UK institutions. The event will identify current gaps and synergies, potential research opportunities and hopes to generate new partnerships in the UK research community and beyond. In particular, the experiences of Southern research institutions under the PISCES project will be of particular interest to UK-based researchers. The event will produce a policy briefing to be used at events such as Rio +20 and beyond. It is being funded by the Meeting Place at the UK Energy Research Centre.
