CAS PhD student featuring at the Clinton Global Initiative University in Berkeley
A group of postgraduate students from the School of Social and Political Science took part in an international meeting with President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton in April.
The post graduate students joined over 1,000 students from around the world at the University of California, Berkeley as part of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) which brings together university students to address global challenges with practical, innovative solutions.
One project in particular, SolarBerry, involving one of our PhD students at the Centre, James Turing, and two masters students from Politics and IR, was mentioned specifically by President Clinton in his closing address. The full webcast is available here.
