Centre of African Studies awarded the Graduate School of Social and Political Science Studentship
We want to wish Sokhna a huge congratulations for being awarded the Graduate School of Social and Political Science Studentship.
Sokhna's research focuses on China’s impact on the dynamics of regionalism in Africa. More specifically, the research project seeks to understand the motivations behind China’s increased engagement in Africa’s infrastructure sector and explain how China’s intervention is affecting the construction of micro-regions in the continent. The research aims to improve our understanding of the way extra-regional actors influence the direction of African regionalism and the resulting impact on the dynamics of intra-regional exchanges.
