Centre of African Studies: News

Congratulations on new appointment

Sidy Cissokho, who was a postdoctoral researcher on the AFRIGOS project between 2016 and 2019 has been appointed to the prestigious French National Center for Research (CNRS).

During his PhD, Sidy’s work focused on labour and trade union's activities in the transport sector, first in Senegal and then in Ghana. More recently, as part of AFRIGOS, he paid attention to the diffusion of the so-called “transport corridors policies” in sub-Saharan Africa through multi-sited fieldwork based on archives and ethnographic observations. We hope this new position will allow him to continue his former research, but also develop fresh ones during the coming decades!
