As a part of the first Perfect Storms cohort of Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholars my interdisciplinary research will primarily focus on solar waste generated in Kenya, working with social entrepreneurs to engage with recycling, repair and repurposing solutions to utilise the full value held within renewable energy products. However, my work will also be linked with my other role as the director of the Turing Trust that reuses computers from Scotland in schools in Ghana, Malawi and Kenya.
